The Willow Tree
The Weeping Willow is a beautiful tree, her branches often bending to the water
while her roots trail below its surface. She has lessons for those of us who choose to listen.
Spend some time beneath or in a willow and let the sounds of the rustling leaves soothe body, mind and spirit.
She has a flexibility which enables her to resist strong winds,
better than the mighty oak. Her bark has been used traditionally to help with pain, herbal aspirin.
For those of you who find sleep hard to come by, take a piece of willow and place it under your pillow.
As you fall asleep the dayâs tensions will ebb
from your body, a flash of moonlight on one of the willowâs silvery green leaves.
